Hmmmm…about myself… do we really know who we are? we are who we believe we are based on our assumptions and perceptions. What defines an individual? what do we identify with? Should I start by stating my age, cultural background, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, goals, dreams, ambitions, my place of residence, my past, my present, my future? do I state what my likes and dislikes are? We are constantly changing. I wonder if people take the time to pause to notice these changes or does our perception stay the same despite all of the changes? hmmmm a little about myself. I am a constantly changing being who likes to live “in the moment” who likes to grow, ask questions and contribute to the greater consciousness. I like to challenge myself to use different forms of expression…ie..poetry, dance, music, art, design and etc… I think a smile speaks a thousand words, a tear communicates thoughs and musical notes tell stories. We need to celebrate life and being. We need to break away from socially constructed habits and need to push our boundaries. We need to spread love and just be. Be ourselves…without a title, a rank, or a constructed label of identity….just ourselves…

Loving to sense and express

Loving to feel and just be…

Be free and grow

Grow to evolve and change

Change to influence

Regardless of gender, race, ability and age

Why are we forced not to be

Not to be and not to love?

Why are we told not to sense

Not to express and not to feel?

Why are we taught to punish love,

And taught to reward hate?

Are we blind? Do we not see?

See what the consequences are.

Are we deaf? Do we not hear?

Hear the cries of help.

We are not blind and we can see;

We are not deaf and we can hear;

We have the ability to feel and think;

We can love and express;

We can change and influence.

We can be free and we can live.

Live to be all that can be.
